Hello John,

Looks like it would be good for you to make contact with Craig Ledbetter in
Ballincolllig, Co. Cork, in connection with his
http://www.biblebc.com/Projects/irish_new_testament_project.htm Irish New
Testament Project .

The CrossWire wiki mentions this here
http://www.crosswire.org/wiki/Non-CrossWire_Text-Development_Projects
http://www.crosswire.org/wiki/Non-CrossWire_Text-Development_Projects

and there is a SWORD module for the Gospel of Luke available at the
CrossWire beta repository.

While you are pondering platforms, please have a think about ordinary Java
enabled mobile phones.
If you would like to have the Irish Bible made into a Go Bible application,
I can offer some help.
I have tools to convert VPL to ThML and hence to Go Bible, even though ThML
is less in favour at CrossWire because of the strong commitment to OSIS.

Go Bible is not tied to a particular versification scheme, so we could make
rapid progress.
