Well, the problem seems to be in downloading the sword.chm file using the
right-click, Save AS method with Netscape; that gave me a file of 14,382
bytes. When I launched IE 6.0 and downloaded the file I got a file of 78=
9
696 bytes that works just as it should.=0D
=0D
I suspect the Save As method is not decompressing the file like IE must d=
o.=20
So, let me reiterate my vote to ALWAYS use a ZIP file (WinZip or other su=
ch
utility) for storing a non-exe file for downloading. This will work
regardless of the browser someone is using.=0D
=0D
Thanks to all of you who supplied comments and suggestions on trying to
resolve this problem.=0D
=0D
Blessing, my brothers!=0D

The first thing is to make sure that you have Sword.chm in the help folde=
r. =0D
Wherever it is,you don't need to run the file from SWORD. You can just =0D
double click it and it should open in the HTML viewer. If you can't open =
=0D
it, can you open other chm files, such as windows.chm in the windows/help=
 =0D
folder? If can open those your system files are probably ok and I don't =0D
know what tell you. If not, then run sfc /purgecahe then sfc /scannow in =
=0D
DOS. If that doesn't do it you may need some kind of reinstalling of IE =0D
or the HH.* files. You can just double click it and it should open in the=
 =0D
HTML viewer.=0D
