If most module creators are reading and following
http://crosswire.org/wiki/OSIS_Bibles#Marking_poetic_material , then
that is exactly what line groups are being used for.

If we need a survey, perhaps someone could do mod2imp on every known
module that started life as OSIS, and grep for '<lg' in the output?
Based on the output of

  grep SourceType=OSIS mods.d/*.conf | wc -l

there are 66 such works in the main (non-beta) CrossWire repository.

Question: Is this an old issue no-one noticed until now, or is this a
regression since 1.5.11?

Suggestion: If practical, try to come up with a test for this issue and
add it to the test suite :)
