Warning verse Luke.1.25 is not well formed:(0,5)
Warning verse Luke.1.38 is not well formed:(0,5)
Linking Luke 1:41 to Luke 1:40

No output for verses 1 and 5 where things go (aesthetically) wrong. And
verse 25 is the one which actually looks right, but obviously would put
no section header out if verses 26ff are requested.

The output of diatheke is below

peter at peter-laptop:~$ diatheke -b Divehi -oh -k Luke 1:1
(Divehi)
peter at peter-laptop:~$ diatheke -b Divehi -k Luke 1:1

(Divehi)

while both lines are to me ( probably to both of us) unreadable, it is
quite clear that both outputs are identical, while they should not be.
The first line is the section heading from the OSIS document:

<chapter sID="Luke.1" osisID="Luke.1"/>
<div type="section">
<p>
