[sword-devel] How to get vowels in the Arabic bible module?

The van Dyke translation is from 1865 IIRC. So all copyrights are well
gone and it is quite impossible to assert any kind of copyrights simply
on the act of format shifting from paper onto MS word or e-sword. This
would be ludicrous.

The problem i see is that the text might after all _not_ be the van Dyke
Bible, but some revision, which might then well be quite correctly
copyrighted. I am not in a position to clarify whether this is the case
or not.

So creating a module is step one, but not distributing it (up to that
point is 'fair use' in the USA or in e.g. Germany) and then showing them
what you did + asking them for permission to pass on.

I had a lengthy conversation once with a Bible Society director who
explaine dto me why they sometimes claim copyrights which are in all
honesty already quite dead (due to expiry) and that is to hinder enemies
of the Gospel to create pseudo translations with carefully introduced
falsehoods e..g a certain prophet was send by God and announced by Jesus
Christ. So, if you can prove your credentials and your aqbility (by
creating a sword module) you will in all likelihood run into open doors
when you finally get round to asking them,
