Could you make it a bit more friendly for text based browsers?

You could put a single jump line on the top just for the ascii browsers
with a bit of HTML like:

<a href="#translations"><img src="dot.gif" alt="translations" /></a>
<a href="#verses"><img src="dot.gif" alt="verses" /></a>

And slam the id="translations" to the proper header tag.

If you use a 1x1 bit dot image you would hardly notice them in graphical
browsers. (Most readers would not notice the diference at all.) But it
does make the page much more usable for people using text browsers and
would make the page much more compliant to the W3C WAI proposal which
would not just help stubborn people like me but also be benefical to
people using a braile rule and so on.

And if you use some nice icons instead it would be even worthwile for the
graphical browser users.

After all some searches get a lot of hits. (Try water ;-)
