[sword-devel] startup error

I'm getting random startup errors with Beta S and Beta T. Sometimes,
sword will get "stuck" and show this on startup (after display the logo):

Win32 Error. Code: 87.
The parameter is incorrect.

Then, the module lists are all empty; no modules are displayed. When
trying to exit, Beta T will display an "Abnormal program termination",
then exit. Beta S will be stuck in a Access Violation; I need to kill
it using CAD.

Workaround: Start Beta R and close, then it will work again. Until the
next time when it gets "stuck". I'll try to track it down.
