[osis-core] Suggestions for encoding and in favor of keeping <p> and <div> as they were.

I have two perspectives on the apparent problem with <p> and <div>.
In my recollection (it seems I don't have a printed copy of King Jimmy's
version and formatted the machine with SWORD software on it) that both
the printed and electronically rendered texts have paragraph breaks. So
even if the data is not available in the data set you have
electronically, the data does exist. With this in mind there is not a
problem with requiring the various elements to be a child of <p> and NOT
a child of <div>. The fact that is not easy to generate a OSIS
compliant document not a function of a problem with the spec but rather
a problem of missing data.
On the other hand the requirement that <p> elements MUST exist implies a
predisposition toward a single view of how the text should be logically
viewed. The view that Troy seems to be coming from is a
Book/Chapter/Verse view. In order to allow data to be encoded using
this model, I would suggest the following encoding strategy, if the data
needed to create paragraph elements as they occur in the printed version
are not available.
IF THE PARAGRAPH DATA IS JUST NOT AVAILABLE THEN THE FOLLOWING:
(NOTE: I am suggesting putting a type in verse equal to type="x-BCV" to
indicate that the <p> element is not being used to indicate a real
paragraph just as a verse element in a BCV heirachy.)

HOWEVER, I THINK that somethink like the following is probably more like
what the translators intended. (Remember I am not a scholar just a
Bible use. At least this is what I would expect as a everyday Bible
user.)
--- I don't know what form your source data is in. Does it have "line
feed"
--- characters in the text itself? If it does then you could start a
new
--- <p> at every "line feed" character and get the paragraphs that way.
