I believe you are right. I have been doing more testing with your latest 
changes and have not seen any crashes.

I think the issue you fixed was deleting objects that were still in use, 
which allowed other new object to have their contents overwritten.

It is likely the issue I have seen with both libsword and with the 
QMutex thread issue.

I just update the Windows version and added the icon that appears on the 
menu and in windows explorer. It is looking quite good now.
