Summary: Hotkey Alt+S in Search dialog renders as simple character

Initial Comment:
In the Search dialog box, the shortcut Alt+S does not work (to activate the Search button) if the cursor is still in the 'Search for' box. In this case, an ordinary s is added to the text to be searches for.
Work around:
Use Tab to move the cursor to a different box, then Alt+S works

this problem seems to only occur when the user is typing something that he
has typed before and the drop down box is activated.

This bug is in Qt. I have submitted a small program to Qt with one
QComboBox and one QPushButton that demonstrates the issue. I will report
when I get a bug number from them.
