I don't know who else is involved in the Windows portion of the work,
but I'm willing to try to get around the git issue, if that can be
done.  If push comes to shove I can even use Linux to do the git work
and build in Windows, though that wouldn't be ideal.  I'm used to
Windows being a second-rate citizen. ;)  What exactly are the issues
with git on Windows?  Is it just lack of a client or lack of an
easy-to-use client?
