This may very well be a move to a right direction.

This, amongst other things lately, raise again the issue of the source 
code management system. If we want to keep the HEAD "almost releasable" 
we can't just add features like this. But we need to share code to test 
it. Should we start creating branches in svn? As we know, sf.net 
supports git now, but git is not well supported on Windows, and we need 
Windows support.
