For some reason it works automatically with QIcon. At least on Linux it 
reads svg out of box, and it doesn't complain on Windows.


Except the linearGradient problem using png is a packager problem, not a 
design or coding problem. It can be helped with cmake if necessary (it 
can try to locate some conversion program and use it), but ATM it's too 
minor that I could give time to write cmake for it. Anyone is welcome to 
help.

If someone points out which of the svg icons have problems, I can 
possibly fix them. Right now it's a minor problem, too, and I don't have 
time to find it out.

Using png has been discussed before. We saw it unnecessary then, but 
it's of course not a final decision.
