No ideas, other than it may be a Qt bug.

For several reason it looks like this the time for me to install Kubuntu 
Jaunty beta/rc. It has Qt 4.5 (and also Sword 1.6rc and BT 2.0alpha3 
packages are available). Then I can test with both Qt 4.5 and Sword 1.6.
