I tried to use &lt;random&gt; and it works. As you may know &lt; and &gt; are 
HTML equivalents for < and >.

I like your work on the handbook! As you may already know, the old main index 
will be removed soon, so the images would need an update. I'd suggest to 
update the images just before we release because more changes might be 
introduced.

Can you please add hdbk-start-custom.html to the CVS?
