I don't have Win10, I have Win7.  I've just experimented at some length
with opening and playing with various editable things, and I can't make
it crash.

Does this occur for all editing? Is it specific to e.g. certain
journals? Is there any more specific circumstance you can describe?

I can get access to a Win10 machine where I will experiment some more,
but there's really nothing in Xiphos that cares a whit about which
flavor of Windows underlies itself.
