From karl at kleinpaste.org Tue Jul 1 10:08:04 2025 From: karl at kleinpaste.org (Karl Kleinpaste) Date: Tue, 1 Jul 2025 10:08:04 -0400 Subject: [xiphos-devel] Xiphos repo moved: new server host Message-ID: <2c3ddea7-d0d2-4be0-86cb-70fd32f93023@kleinpaste.org> I have replaced the old, underprovisioned, ancient CentOS 7 server for ftp.xiphos.org with a new, overprovisioned, modern RHEL 9 system. (ColoCrossing had a good deal.) Content has been copied over, and FTP + HTTP 80 (http://ftp.xiphos.org/sword/) service are active; the nameserver A RR has been updated at my DDNS provider. The first few clients are already connecting normally. Ordinary users shouldn't notice anything different. On the old host, FTP and HTTP 80 will be turned off in a day or so, being sure timeout has rendered the old A RR unusable. If you find anything wrong with access to Xiphos repo, please let me know. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... NB. In general, for modules installed from the CrossWire & eBible.org repos, the associated search indices either do not install or do not work in PocketSword. Can this issue be fixed by Dominique & Michael? Best regards, David Sent with [Proton Mail](https://pr.tn/ref/SWXT9A5YZ67G) secure email.
