I got SFMToOSIS to work for a Bible I am preparing, but it didn't
preserve all cross-references. I actually got through quite a few of
the output files, gradually copying each book into one file as I
corrected the errors that the *.out files warned me about, but then I
started noticing a handful of missing cross-references. There didn't
seem to be any rhyme or reason to them that I could tell. Sometimes
portions of the note were dropped and other times the note wasn't
preserved at all.<br>

My conclusion (for my project) is that though SFMToOSIS is quite robust
in many respects, it would be more work than it is worth to go back and
find those missing cross-references. Even though usfm2osis.pl doesn't
handle the notes correctly, at least it leaves the content. I would be
curious, Chris, why do you recommend SFMToOSIS over usfm2osis.pl?<br>

I wouldn't think that it would be very hard to augment usfm2osis.pl.
Here are a couple of examples of notes that usfm2osis.pl didn't
transform correctly: <br>
