Why not just put it on the normal gitlab, and everyone invests freely, free to you after to merge or not, the merge requests. It's really not easy for the moment without access to git.crosswire. I think it's counterproductive. Le 02/04/2020 ? 05:03, Troy A. Griffitts a ?crit?: > > Our Gitlab instance is available for any official CrossWire projects > who wish to use it.? I don't know if the issue is a user, Xiphos or a module issue so need some guidance please. I generally use two modules that contain Strong's numbers - the ESV2011 and NASB. The ESV2011 works correctly, but the NASB doesn't. When I hover my mouse over a Strong's number in the ESV2011 the lookup result of that Strong's number is shown in the Preview window. And if I click on the Strong's number the lookup result is shown in the Dictionary window. But neither of these operate in the NASB module - the Strong's number becomes clickable but nothing happens when I hover or click. Can anyone offer suggestions as to where I may find the solution please? The ESV2011 works correctly, but the NASB doesn't. Oh...well, um...crap. /sigh /Bother, said Pooh. See, once upon a midnight dreary, lo these ages ago, in the Before Times, there was a NASB module underway that was going to be released with its own, directly attached NAS Heb/Grk dictionaries. And the situation was so deliciously special case that I actually added code to Strong's hovers/clicks to take NASB directly to those dictionaries. 'Cuz I had the beta NASB and the NAS dictionaries, and they were going to be a set that always went together, and I've worked with them for a simply indecent amount of time. And now that assumption that once was perceived as so beneficial is just plain wrong. /Oops./ Another thing to take care of Real Soon Now. Special case code to be removed. Apologies, again, for not having gotten back to it soon enough. The COVID thing has been a monkey on my back because it directly affects my family. (I have elderly family in NYC...in Queens...the hotspot of the hotspot.) I am trying to get to it, but you wouldn't believe the combination of work stuff as we've gone to telecommute plus emergency runs into Ohio for other family before they went to lockdown plus heaven knows what else has been in my way. I'll get there very soon. I'm very sorry for the delay. Here's a hack workaround to make it work for right now: 1. Go to your .sword/mods.d directory. 2. Copy your Strong's dictionaries *.conf to nashebrew.conf and nasgreek.conf, respectively. 3. Edit the new files so that their bracketed [Name] entries at the top are NASHebrew and NASGreek. Don't change anything else. 4. Restart Xiphos. 5. Smile as you see hovers/clicks in NASB work. // -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... This is a bugfix release. Ezra Project is a topical bible study tool. https://github.com/tobias-klein/ezra-project/releases/tag/0.12.1 A note-worthy improvement is that Ezra Project now shows progress bars for long-running operations (repo config update, module installation, module search). Detailed changes are recorded in the Change Log. Downloads are available for: ? Windows (tested on Windows 10) ? macOS (tested on Catalina) ? Ubuntu 18.04 + 19.04 ? Debian 10 ? Linux Mint 18 + 19 ? Fedora 29 (also works with Fedora 30) ? Fedora 31 ? CentOS 8 ? OpenSuse Leap 15.1 Feedback is appreciated! Message-ID: Hi everyone, What?s the typical technical approach for highlighting SWORD module search results? Does the engine have built-in support for this? Are there any good examples available? I imagine this to be best solved by the SWORD engine by simply returning corresponding markup that contains the highlighted sections based on the search term. Best regards, Tobias -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... The first is that the build fails when the code is in a path that has spaces in it. This is because instances of "-I${some_foo}/include" in autotools are not wrapped with quotation marks. The second is when you invoke: ./configure --prefix="/some/path with a space/in/it" --sysconfdir="/som/other/path with spaces". This is because SWICU_DATA and GLOBCONFPATH are not properly escaped for that situation, either. An additional frustration, since I was in the autotools already to fix this (the path on the CI server has spaces in it, because I absentmindedly created the job with spaces in it) is that I can't finish a compile with autotools out of stream (I like to do my builds in a subdir of the main source dir so that things build artifacts and generated objects aren't being intermingled with the code). So I've attached a patch that fixes all of these problems. --Greg -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Almost all file systems and tooling on almost all distros will handle almost any Unicode UTF-8 characters in filenames and paths just fine. The only thing you need to watch out for typically are spaces (can be used, but they must be escaped or the paths quoted), quote marks (can screw with poorly implemented quoting of spaces), null characters, newlines (technically valid in filenames, but many scripts forget this and they tend to break), backslashes (also valid, but tend to confuse people escaping them). It's also valid but unpleasant when filenames begin with a dash or semicolon because these make it hard to use filenames as arguments. Besides those ASCII issues, non ASCII localized path and filenames are pretty much a non-issue. is valid in XHTML but not in HTML 4.01. Secondly, all browsers ignore the doctype declaration at the top of a file. At least all modern browsers do. They only thing they care about is the Content-Type: in the HTTP header. Of course, you don't have an HTTP header, but surely you have a way to set it to "application/xhtml+xml"? Discussion of proper DOCTYPE and the necessity of the directive are about what makes a valid XHTML document But, as I read more, I came to find that the HTML WG suggests, and apparently all browsers implement, ignoring those directives and instaead caring only about the Content-Type header/directive. So if you have that header/directive in Xiphos, then try updating that to the appropriate "application/xhtml+xml" and see if that fixes Xiphos/WebKit's behavior? --Greg -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... I do find it odd that lenient HTML mode is extra forgiving, and yet doesn't forgive a valid XHTML tag. Not sure who decided on that logic but we have to work with what we've got, so we can target perfection and make all things work in XHTML or we can assume non-perfection (which, sadly I fear there are likely many places in our modules which don't have perfect markup) and change the self-closing div. I think we should probably do both: shoot for perfection, but avoid the one thing which seems to trip non-perfection mode. I'll try to have something out this weekend for you. It's this value that is telling Webkit what to do. It hadn't occurred to me that this was done other than in the header directives as I began to fill the widget. Unfortunately, still no joy. There are 6 occurrences of "text/html" in 3 files that do webkit widget loading: src/editor/editor.c src/editor/webkit_editor.c src/webkit/wk-html.c And the one that is immediately relevant is of course the last, which has 1 of the 6.
