Please accept my apologies. I didn't mean to criticise, just to make
observations.

I haven't yet looked at altering the Wiki, and just now, I'm very pushed
for time. But yes - I do realise that this is not in its final form and
is fluid.

BibleCS limits footnotes to 1221 characters. Some of our footnotes are
at least double that; I've no idea how big the longest is.

BibleDesktop, BibleTime and Xiphos all place the notes in a scrollable
text box, and handle the longest ones OK. I don't know about the other
frontends, except for SwordReader. The latest build of that handles the
notes properly, but as yet can't display Hebrew.

I suggest an additional column (or more). 'Footnote Handling' marked as
'complete' or 'limited' (or somesuch). Another point that we might want
to consider is navigation on a scale of 0 to 5. BibleCS might be around
2, and Xiphos around 5 .... and so on ....

I'll try to get around to doing some work on it eventually, but maybe
someone else with a bit more time will consider adding these.

Sorry again if I have appeared to be criticising the great job you've
done. It's a vital piece of work and will be of great benefit when
completed.

God bless,
Barry
