IMHO, is to put the focus on spread the Gospel (The Word) rather than
the license/distribution, etc.
License/Legal/Distrubution could change (maybe in the future, if the
law is change, etc), but the Christian duty to spread The Word will
not change.

I do not know about other frontend developers thinking regarding their
works, but myself always try to spread the Gospel (The Word) to as
many people as possible without the restrictions as possible (unless
required by the law eg: component developed by 3rd party, in my case
is JSword, Apache Lucene, etc.)

Personally I will be very happy if people could study/learn The Word
using my works. And happy as well when I could not reach certain
audiences, but certain third party able to reach. eg: "reasonable"
commercial distribution. Because as far as I understands
distribution/crowd gathering certainly need some fund to cover it is
expenses.

Off course I also would like people to obtain my works free (or as
cheap as possible) rather than pay. But I always try to remind myself
that things sometimes not possible due to alot of external factor
which is beyond my control eg: distribution required money (bandwith,
free cd, web admin salary, etc). So I just focus on what I can do
(spread the Word) and provide it as free on my own website (things
that I could control) and let's God lead whatever 3rd party do with my
works aka God Providence).

So in the end I just keep reminding myself to make sure I am not
sidetracked with issues that beyond me and try to keep focus on spread
the Word and create the tool to learn the Word. The rest is the
providence :)

Because IMHO it is not about my works, but it is about The WORD. My
works is nothing, The WORD (which bring salvation) is everything.

Cheers
