Open up the bfm2000.conf file. In the first line there are two invalid
characters. Remove the "&" and the space. Everythings should work fine from there.

[BF&M 2000] should read [BFM2000]

Quoting Steve Tang <ctang@nyx.net>:

> rc5 just pops up with a message 'BookRTFBF&M2000 is not a valid component
> name.' rc4 starts fine. I downloaded rc5 the same way as any other beta
> files and winzip tested it ok.
> When I moved bfm2000.conf out of mods.d directory rc5 starts fine.
> Maybe I'm missing some point since this genbook never worked for me,
> except for occuping a commentary slot with nothing but a vertical divider.
> Now it's also keeping rc5 from starting properly.
