I think the one thing to keep in mind is that we have a release/bug fix branch. If we have too many fixes and enhancements in any given commit then it becomes hard for Greg to cherry pick into his branch.

And you can not imagine how elated I felt for spotting this - ;-). It made up for an equally dumb mistake Troy had pointed out to me the same day. 

At current rate we might aim for a 1.8 release in early summer?

new archive formats added
lots of bug fixes
Some refactoring
and most importantly the parallel display/ av11n mapping/translation
