I think that we need to put something in the schema to handle xml:lang.
 
Please look at the following discussion and the replies that follow.
(This post mentions XMLSpy, but the replies are more generic.)

If I am wrong on needing to put something in the schema for xml:lang,
could you send me a VERY short OSIS document that uses the latest schema
that also includes xml:lang?
