[mobile-devel] SlideBible Beta Testing

Hi,

OK. Using the gettext idea is great. I've never used it in WinCE
project, but it sounds good. (It was always anoying the the book names
are english in every situation.)
Maybe I'll got some mails that it's already done in sword project and
I'm the only one, who doesn't know anything about it ;o)
(Please be patient with me! ;o)

The first thing I would like to change is the search - reading the other
letters it seems to me, that creating an utf8latin2 filter will
perfectly fit for my language (also).
But I must admit that as I examined the ISO-8859-1 and ISO-8859-2
codepages all significant characters are on tha same position in these
codepages only the form of accents differs at some positions.
So perhaps a Latin1 filter setup may work for me. The only thing that a
bit confusing for me that the utf8latin1 converter uses simple
arithemtic conversion instead of some kind of lookup table so I can't
verify the mapping it implements in head ;o) If somebody would be so
kind and tell me step by step how can I setup this filter in my desktop
sword for a quick verification I would be very glad.
By the way, this search method is a bit slow on my desktop pc also not
mentioning my handheld device. Is there any way for use some kind of
precompiled index or something?

The second thing that seems to be important is the word breaking when
displaying multiline texts. As I see in your code there is a lot of TODO
comment so I suppose you also want to change the way it works. If it is
not in your recent list and you agree with it I look after it.

If there's anything you would like to be done by me, let me know.

Best regards,
     Tom

PS.: I don't know if it's correct that we speak about it publicly, I
mean maybe we fill others mailboxes with unwanted mails.
