Notice the reference to the dojo. We think that this is a very useful tool and are always happy to hear your feedback.
Now we need to add content to the div tags. See the glue code page for more details on what is happening.
Get started today by downloading JavaFX Script code. This layout has a a menu bar on top, a left side bar I'll use for navigation and a main content area in the center of the page.
The only thing left is to resize the containers. To learn how, see the blog entry "Giving jMaki a Whirl".
The ondisplay attribute identifies an event handler that strips out the zip code from the data returned by the server, so that only the city and state are displayed in the pop-up list. However, if you would like to learn more about what steps are required to set up an application for jMaki, see the article "New Technologies for Ajax and Web Application Development: Project jMaki".

The problem I'm having is there are almost too many options available when trying to develop a web app. JavaFX Mobile is a complete middleware and application stack for mobile devices, and is targeted to carriers and handset makers. NET Developer's Journal - .

This sounds like a lot of work, but it's really not bad.
Now I want to use jMaki with Ajax.
That action handler gets the location data from the Yahoo Geocoder and passes it to any Yahoo or Google maps declared in the page.
However, there are ways other than JavaServer Faces technology to access and use Ajax-enabled widgets. Neither do you need to provide CSS to specify the presentation style of the pop-up list. A dictionary web service that comes with the Sun Java Studio Creator IDE supplies the suggested words. If you don't find components or widgets that provide the Ajax functionality you need, you'll need to do the JavaScript coding yourself.
jMaki makes building JavaScript apps alot easier.
If you want to learn more about the details of jMaki from a single document or spread the word of jMaki to your peers feel free to use the slides. We also optimize the page parsing and load the Dojo widgets programatically which can be useful. The web application I will build uses the standard layout template, the Dojo fisheye widget for navigation, the Yahoo Geocoder and Google map widgets. A widget is a prebuilt UI component that you can plug into a web application and customize as needed. After the session, post any webinar-related questions you have on the Ask the Experts page and get answers from the webinar presenters.
This method returns a list of cities that begin with the characters that the user enters. Note that the Dojo toolkit provides not only the JavaScript code for a widget but also the HTML and CSS for the presentation of the widget on a page. For example, a jMaki widget wrapped in a JavaServer Faces component can be customized to trigger event handlers and validate user entries.
