Hi,

It is very interesting bug, I haven't encountered it before.

Please make sure you are using sun java instead of gcj java.

If you want the installer without gui, please use the following step:
- download the mac osx download
- extract it into any folder eg; tmp folder
- copy the folder alkitab.app/Contents/Resources/alkitab into your
preferred dir eg: /opt/ or /usr/local/ or /home/your-name/alkitab
- run chmod +x some-folder/alkitab/bin/alkitab to make it executable
- [optional] run ln -s alkitab somefolder/alkitab/bin/alkitab into eg: /usr/bin
- that's it, you just need to put some books

Because the above approach does not install any books/modules, you
need to download the books from http://crosswire.org/sword/modules/
and preferable you put the book on the /home/your-usrname/.sword, or
please see the http://www.kiyut.com/products/alkitab/faq.html

The GUI installer is used because you need to install some books to
make it usable, without books, alkitab is not usable at all. If there
are popular request I will put the plain zip/tgz file for the alkitab
without GUI installer. But you must download/copy the book manually.

Side note: I haven't realize sun java 1.6.0_07 already available for
Ubuntu Hardy 8.04 as deb format, do you use the manual install or use
the ubuntu/debian deb format ?

Cheers

I am taking 3 max tolerance experimental chemo therapies. So I have to spend about 20 hours a day in bed and just cannot do to much when I get on the computer or teach a group.
