<pre class="k9mail">hello, dear brothers in Christ!<br /><br />I WOULD LIKE TO SUBSCRIBE TO THE GENERAL BIBLETIME MAILING LIST, PLEASE!<br /><br />i really fell in love with BibleTime! it's a wonderful work!<br />i am not a full theologian nor a specialist in hebrew, but i've studied it for <br />a couple of years in a pre-seminary school.<br /><br />so, being an OpenSuse user for several years, i feel really blessed with this <br />tool!<br /><br />--> FEATURE REQUEST:<br /><br />i was trying to understand which word was used for "taste" in Psalm 34:8, but <br />i didn't have any hebrew dictionary with me.<br /><br />i opened bibletime and Aleppo's hebrew text, along with the English version <br />ESV. but i couldn't figure out which of those words in hebrew could be "taste".<br /><br />so i switched to <a href="http://biblehub.com">biblehub.com</a>, which gave me a totally different text in <br />hebrew to that verse.<br /><br />i then checked back, and the text found on Aleppo's text (also on other hebrew <br />databases available on Bibletime) was misplaced by a verse. <br />i thought it could have been a bug of some sort, but then, looking at the <br />opening lines of that Psalm, i noticed that all hebrew versions consider the <br />heading of the Psalm ("Of David, when he changed his behavior etc.") as verse <br />1. So all subsequent verses are misplaced by one verse if compared to the <br />translated texts.<br /><br />So, is there any way to fix that misleading difference in verse numbering? that <br />is, if verse numbering is fixed on the original hebrew texts, could you somehow <br />put next to each other the same CONTENT instead of just the same verse number?<br /><br />of course, this is being very picky!! you've all done a great job overall!!<br /><br />thank you beforehand, and may God keep blessing your work!!<br />Luiz R.
