I downloaded an installed bibletime-1.6.3b.tar.bz2 and it works
(without the harddisk running and stopping all the time). Great. <br>

Use the method you know to compile and install bibletime from source from
bibletime-1.6.3b.tar.bz2.

The warnings you mentioned to not neccessarily point to errors.
