Initial Comment:
In BT 2.0 used in Ubuntu 9.04:
For the Bible book names there is only one option: American English
Clicking on English, there are four options:
- English
- French
- Frisian and
- German
but none is working: using Apply and/or OK does not make a change, neither is the interface language in a different language, nor is the choice done kept in Configure BibleTime/Languages
Restarting BT does not change the situation

Found it:
If the translations in the corresponding language exists (Ubuntu and
BibleTime), if the language package is loaded (both Ubuntu and BibleTime
and if Ubuntu is switched to this language at start, then it works.

This works, if the interface language is switched to a different language
at login. Then BibleTime shows up also in this language (if it has been
translated into it and if the bibletime-data package has been installed.
