[bt-devel] i18n port complete

Hi everyone,

the porting of the i18n system is complete. We now do no longer depend on KDE
stuff.

For UI messages, we use QT's translation system, with its own file format (.ts
and .qm files).

For howto and handbook, we use docbook originals, create translatable .pot
and .po files from them, and create translated .docbook files from these and
the original files. All docbook files are translated to HTML using xsl sheets
from the docbook project. These html files along with images are installed to
the user's system and will work on any platform.

Except for translation itself, this process is fully automatic. Use the
targets "messages", "handbook" and "howto" to try it out if you want. To
build and install BT, the user will not need to have this toolchain - .qm and
HTML files are stored in SVN and can be directly installed.

I'm happy about this new system. For translation of handbook and howto I used
the software po4a, a very nice tool for docbook translation.

I still have to integrate code to locate the right handbook/howto directories
for the user and open them with the system browser, but I expect that to be
simple. Installation already works.

Regards,

mg
