I just realized that releasing our alpha is not very useful if testers
must user another KDE version than which they have with the
distribution. Waiting for the KDE RC2 takes couple of weeks more
(scheduled on 11 Dec, see
http://techbase.kde.org/Schedules/KDE4/4.0_Release_Schedule#5_December_2007:_Tagging_4.0.1_or_RC_2).
