Dear friends,

the FIFA world cup here in Germany is not the reason why things have been
silent recently at BibleTime. ;) Joachim ist about to finish his studies and
has a lot of stress, but this will be over for good in a few weeks. I started
working fulltime and have found little free time as well. How have all of you
been? I hope everyone is doing well.

I suggest that we try to get development started again. Main things to focus
on would be fixing some of the many bugs that need to be solved before
1.6final (http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=954&atid=100954). Also,
clucene 0.9.11 is out. We need an autoconf macro that enforces this version
for BibleTime installation, and we can remove the workarounds we introduced
for the bugs in 0.9.10. Any help is most appreciated, esp. now that Joachim
has no free time to work on BibleTime. Please write to this list and tell us
about your sitation and what you would like to work on, if that should be the
case.

Crosswire has a wiki again! I restored the most important stuff from the old
wiki to http://crosswire.org/wiki/index.php/Frontends:Bibletime (some of the
formatting is still broken, and it is very unorderly still). We should use
this place as a collaboration area where development planning can take place,
besides on this list.

(A personal side note. My wife studies English, and we'd like to spend 2-3
weeks in England in autumn or winter. If you know a place where we could
stay, say you or a friend leave their flat for a longer vacation and need
somebody to take care of it, we'd be happy to know about that. Please contact
me privately if you could help us there.)

I am looking forward to hear from everybody, and to work together for God's
kingdom of peace.

Blessings,

Martin
