Ok, I think I fixed it. Please test, there may still be some ugly bugs in 
gen_am.sh, but for me it works well now.

Please do take a look at gen_am.dat for an explanation of how to set which 
languages are to be included. For our normal work, all should be, for a 
release only the ones that are ready.
