Well, did you also try bibletime-doc? There is a separate .spec file for it.
Plus it would be nice if you could modify the .spec.in file instead of the 
.spec file, which is oerwritten by configure. 
The .spec.in file is distribution-independent. configure will try to find out 
the distribution and insert the appropriate values. Would it be possible for 
you to apply the changes (not mandrake-specific) to the 2 .spec.in files, and 
send them? 
If you need to do something mandrake-specific, you can put it in a 
conditional statement which is only applied if compiled on Mandrake.

Since we no longer provide the static build (with KDE/QT static) you can take 
all related stuff out. That should shorten it a bit! =) 
BTW, what is the Globals.conf file used for?

The filenames should now also indicate the version of the distro, say 
bibletime-1.1-suse7.3-1.i586.rpm
bibletime-1.1-mdk8.2-1.i586.rpm.
