[bt-devel] error while loading shared libraries(?)

i am running a debian-based box (upgraded to the testing distribution).  i 
converted rpm's for bibletime and sword to deb packages:

'alien --to-deb sword-devel-1.5.2.cvs.20010422-1mdk.i586.rpm'  ---> 
sword-devel_1.5.2.cvs.20010422-2_i386.deb

'alien --to-deb bibletime-1.0.cvs.20010508-static.1mdk.i586.rpm' ---> 
bibletime_1.0.cvs.20010508-1_i386.deb

upon converting the sword rpm to a deb package, i received the following 
error message: 'dpkg-gencontrol: warning: unknown substitution variable 
${shlibs}:Depends}'.  i did not receive an error message for the bibletime 
rpm conversion.  i am unsure what the sword error message means (i am not a 
developer/programmer).

i installed the .deb's (seemingly successfully).  i then installed 
several sword modules (they are in /usr/local/sword/) and created the 
appropriate /etc/sword.conf file.  when i try to run bibletime, i get the 
following error message:

'jtr@mybox:~/tmp$ bibletime 
(BibleTime 1.0) WARNING: ASSERT: "group" in cgroupmanager.cpp (1221)
bibletime: error while loading shared libraries: bibletime: undefined symbol: 
__dynamic_cast_2'.

i am unsure if this is a problem resulting from the rpm to deb conversion or 
bug in bibletime (or sword).  i would be very pleased to be a part of 
bibletime's development.  i wish i was able to create deb packages the proper 
way (rather, i wish i had time to learn to).

i implore you to type slowly due to my aforementioned deficiency. :-)
