I added a line edit to enter the preview application.
I do not know why your kghostview doesn't work (mine does ) but try "gv" 
instead.

No, it's a bug in kghostview.
gv shows it correctly.

Not on my side.
Make sure /tmp is writeable.

Where are the linebreaks missing?
