Perhaps. Next week Kleopatra will be released. Wait until next wednesday and implement other tthings.

Have a look into the QT 2.1 QListView stuff. The constructor of QListViewItem supports such a thing.

Not modal is ok. But having a searchdialog in MDI is against our discussed guidelines. Have a look into bibletime/doc/ .
The MDI area should only contain presenters.
