[bd-users] bibledesktop-users Digest, Vol 20, Issue 2

On Ubuntu Dapper, running BD is really simple. I use the self-contained
version that can run off a USB stick, but I think that doesn't affect
the runline.

I just added BD in my Alacarte Menu editor, and the command is
<sh /usr/share/sword/BibleDesktop/BibleDesktopUnix.sh>. No shell script
involved, though I've had to do that with other apps. It also doesn't
much matter where you put the BD files, of course, as long as they are
executable by you.

Plus I got the BD icon from an earlier download of a Sword ISO--you
could just get the icon from the FTP site--and converted it to JPG with
the Gimp. Maybe it was already JPG. I forget which icons I've had to
convert. Then I put it in /usr/share/pixmaps and found it with
Alacarte. That was a nice touch ;-).

Thanks,

Coby
