[bd-users] adding modules from a local file??

Not sure what exactly you mean, but if you are trying to recover and
reuse sword modules:

Sword modules are when unzipped build out of a configuration file and a
directory with the actual content. The content are commonly 4-6 files
ending on , ,vss, .bzs or similar.

Former reside ordinarily in a folder called mods.d, latter somewhere in
the depths of the folder modules.(/modules/texts/ztext/[Your Bible] e.g)
You must recover both and save them in your new location. As soon as
there is a new config file the sword engine in your installation will
recognise this and go looking ofr content. So you must ensure that the
place you save the content is reflected in the path as described in the
config file.

Ordinarily Sword modules on windows are saved in C:/Program
Files/Crosswire or in C:/User and Documents/[~user]/.sword - IIRC but I
do not use Windows a lot. Some non standard programmes like wxsword etc
will also chose different places. On Linux files are stored in
/usr/share/crosswire and in ~/.sword

BD will work with a lot of standard and non-standard locations. TBH this
can sometimes get a bit irritating when you have a lot of trial run
modules lying about (messy computer like mine), so best is to go for the
standard location ~/.sword and store your modules there. The hardest
part is to ensure that the path is correct.
