Hi, It would be great to be able to do enhance the search engines capabilities. I think the technical term for this is "regular expressions". For example, I know other Bible programs which allow you search two words within X amount of verses from each other (proximity search). I think that would be great if you added those features. We can already do regular expressions, and one frontend (bpbible) can do proximity searches. Xiphos has proximity search as well, but no one really knows exactly how to use it. |

MacSword uses SearchKit search engine, the same technology that is used in Apple's Spotlight. See here for a available search options: http://www.crosswire.org/wiki/Frontends:MacSw...t_searching_.28default.29 Indexing engines very rarely support regular expression search. Manfred |
