I've noticed that the verse numbering of quite a few of the Psalms is 'off' in the RSV. SUMMARY: For every Psalm that has a 'title,' the RSV codes that title as the first verse, moves the first verse to second, etc. Further Explanation: For example, Ps. 90.1&2 in the KJV (and others) is: "1 A Prayer of Moses the man of God. Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations. 2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. " The same passage in the RSV is: "1 A Prayer of Moses, the man of God. 2 LORD, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations. " Thus, every incidence of this makes it appear that the chapter in question has an alternate (additional) verse in the RSV. Thanks for your work on the programs. God bless. |

I have noticed this issue as well. As the RSV is a very popular version it would be nice to see this fixed.... |
