Re: looking for bible software for my phone

You need to know which technology is your cell phone using.

A java Bible is available here.

If you have internet access on your cell, you can use the online version

Re: looking for bible software for my phone

In addition to the above, if you have a Windows Mobile/PocketPC device (smartphone or not) there is SwordReader: http://www.swordreader.org/

The smartphone version is currently in early testing, so I don't want to post a link here, but please email us at sword-support@crosswire.org and someone will send you a link.

[NB: If you are reading this many months after the date it was posted. Please check the website above before asking for a link. The software may be released already.]

For Palm (PDAs and smartphones) we recommend either Palm Bible Plus (http://palmbibleplus.sourceforge.net/) or UniBible (http://unbound.biola.edu/unibible/). Olive Tree's software should also be quite good in this area.

Currently we have nothing to offer for iPhone. The current (as of 08/01/2008) SDK license prevents us from developing software for the iPhone, but we hope to do something in the future. Until then, there are plenty of Bible programs in the App Store (though they all have significant shortcomings, unfortunately).
