style sheet for multi-column layout

Here is a style sheet to make MacSword display text in multiple columns. This works nicely on a widescreen monitor with the window maximized. When there are too many lines to fit the window, scroll sideways using Option-right arrow.

Save the following lines as a text file (multicolumn.css) and then load it as the Style Sheet on the Advanced tab of preferences.

body {
text-align:justify;
font-family:Times;
font-size:14pt;
-webkit-column-width:14em;
-webkit-column-gap:2em;
height:100%;
overflow-y:hidden;
margin-left:1em;
}

.booktitle {
font-size:3em;
text-align:center;
}

.chapternumber {
font-size:2em;
margin-top:1mm;
margin-bottom:1mm;
vertical-align:text-bottom;
}

.versenumber {
font-weight:bold;
font-size:0.7em;
margin-top:1mm;
margin-bottom:1mm;
vertical-align:text-top;
}

.verse {
display:block; /* or inline */
}
