PHP Interface?

Is there any way to interface PHP and Diatheke? Or maybe there's another way to pull verses from The Sword Project using PHP? Thanks for the great study tool!

Re: PHP Interface?

Here is one that I have used and found to be fairly easy to setup.

Re: PHP Interface?

The above site has absolutely no connection with the SWORD Project, is not an interface to the SWORD Project or Diatheke, and does not read SWORD modules. If that's what you're looking for, I would not recommend this software.

To answer your question, Nathaniel, yes, you can interface PHP and Diatheke by executing an instance of Diatheke from PHP and using the output to stdout.

There are also PHP bindings for the SWORD Project in bindings\swig\php (within the source tree).

confused Re: PHP Interface?

Osk, I am interested in using swig to build a loadable PHP extension for Sword. I have downloaded and installed swig and have referenced the 'swig and php4' docs but I'm still not sure on how to proceed. I blindly ran the few scripts in the bindings\swig\ folder which created a number of files. Do I also need the php source for it's include files?

Can you (or anyone) walk me through the process of building a loadable extension of Sword?
