I've been using e-Sword for a while, and recently found The Sword Project. I like it much better because I can use the same basic software on my Linux and Windows systems. However, there doesn't seem to be as many resources available on crosswire.org as there are on the e-sword site. Are there any other sites that have Sword compatible modules? Thanks1 |

Dear Jorge: I've tried these ftp sources and I had no success in connecting to them. Actually, I put them in a web browser and nothing appears. It seems that they're dead. Are there another sources that work? Thanks for your help. By the way, Im using Mandriva 2008, and i've recently installed bibletime 1.6.5-1. there are these: ftp://ftp.bible.org/sword]ftp://ftp.bible.org/sword]ftp://ftp.bible.org/sword ftp://ftp.crosswire.org/pub/sword/raw (the official Sword repository) url=ftp://ftp.crosswire.org/pub/sword/betaraw ftp://ftp.kleinpaste.org/pub/sword/ Jorge |

All four sites listed in Jorge's post (and on the Wiki page that Eeli links to) are correct and working. I just cleaned up the links in Jorge's post for readability, but they were working prior to that as well. If you're having trouble accessing all of the FTP sites, it's likely the problem is on your end--possibly due to a firewall blocking port 21 (in which case it needs to be unblocked) or a NAT box preventing an active FTP connection (in which case you should try a passive connection). |
