I am so eager to make a module for sword project but it just overwhelms me when I try to find a suitable tools for OSIS editing. At the beginning what I would like to use is an OpenSource editor, that would show a context in which elements and their attributes can be defined. What I tried so far: XEmacs --> an overkill. Kate -> I don't see a way to let it know about coreOsis.xsd. Quanta , haven't tried it yet. there seems to be a support for XML editing. Can anyone enlighten me on whether there's any possibility to facilitate osis editing by way of OS editors. Benedict ---------------------------------------- regards, Benedict. |

I searched and found no OpenSource editor which understands XSD files. So it seems you have to switch to one of the shareware products Chris mentioned. Joachim |

Thank you very much. Do you think I still have CVS write access? Years ago I had submitted a polish translation for bibletime, bu afterwords I quit and someone else took it over for newer versions... Also, I noted I can't set a language for bible books names. Benedict ---------------------------------------- regards, Benedict. |

I just foung this on the Web: http://architag.com/xray/ # Real-time Schema Validation In addition to XML syntax, XRay also helps you learn schema syntaxes by showing schema syntax and content errors in real time as you type. XRay supports the following schema syntaxes: * XML1.0 Document Type Definition (DTD) * Microsoft XML Data Reduced (XDR) * World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) XML Schema (XSD) Benefits: 1. Learn schema syntax quickly by getting instant feedback. 2. XSD interface provides real-time feedback of all open windows. 3. Full implementation of XSD specification. What do you make of it? I have a dual boot machine (windows and fedora). Do you think it would be useful to install it for the purpose of tagging a text?
