Searching the LXX for lemmas

Hi, I installed the Rahlfs morphologically tagged LXX, and was struggling to search by Strong's numbers for lemmas. If I write click on a Strong's number and search, it comes up with H before the number rather than G. It seems that if I just change it to G, then it works, thank God. Is this a little glitch?

I downloaded and installed the Ge'ez Bible. When I open it in the search window the characters are not readable. It looks like I need to install a font. What fornt was used to encode the Ge'ez Bible?
I want to take this opportunity to request if the Amharic (Ethiopic) Bible could be added to the collection. There are partial digitized versions available on the web. I am willing to ...

Any plans to port SWORD to Microsoft .NET?

I know Borland Turbo C++ is the favorite developer platform, but is there any possibility that a port to Microsoft .NET is in the wings? The reason I ask is "IF ported to .NET, there is a possibility that it would run under Linux/Mono if done correctly."

Just the ramblings of a multi-platform old man with the desire to run my apps in both Linux AND Windows.

Hello,

Recently installed Sword Project for Windows PC version 1.5.11 on Windows 7 which has been regularly updated. Sword Project for Windows installed but Windows 7 said it was not fully compatible so it applied compatibility changes. Install manager worked after that - it did not before. None of the Bibles will move beyond the first chapter of whatever book I'm reading. Using Book ...

I am new to the sword project. I have the install manager linked to the website. Downloaded a devotional and it put it in with the lexicons. I have I believe two basic questions. First of all I can't find any folder hierarchy that corresponds to the way they put it in install manager. Also the program itself seems to want devotionals in a specific place and install manager doesn't ask ...

Removing Superscript Verse Numbers

Is there a way to make the verse numbers "normal" text rather than superscript in the Windows version of Sword?

I'd like to use Sword for my copy/paste routine while writing up lessons, etc. But, it copies in the superscripted verse number... and that's a pain to fix (copy to Notebook... copy to document... or set up a macro in OpenOffice to remove the formatting).

Hi,

Does anyone know if there are any Ellen White modules available for Xiphos?
I know there are some available for e-sword but I would rather stick with Xiphos.

Thanks,

Will there be a version for Vista any time soon. I have to run this in XP mode and am encountering application runtime error x00000-type and memory allocation problems.

For some reason, too, the Strong's Greek Dictionary is not showing as a module i can hide/unhide.

Can anyone help me resolve this via a workaround until the project comes up with a Vista-ready product?

Printed Manual

Hi Folks,

I have given out Sword to a few people at my local fellowship. They all love it though some could do with some help.

Is there a printed User Guide suitable for people with little computer experience? Or should I start writing one? [:)]

We are aiming to have a little workshop soon too.

Thanks

I'm a couple of versions behind the current, but I'm wondering if I can install the new version on top of the old and still expect it to read all of the previously downloaded modules? Being on a dialup connection, I really do not want to start from scratch.
