Hello,

Is there a more detailed explanation on how to use diatheke on the command line?

To be frank, I don't understand how to use it from the usage message.

Some examples would be very welcome and helpful.

Will appreciate your help.

Weblink to Bible tool with translation as well as reference?

Hi, I see that the url of a Bible reference can be used to point to a particular verse, e.g.
1 John 3:16

But as I'll be interested in pointing them to a particular translation, is it possible to have the translation version embedded within the url as well as the chapter/verse?

List of Bible books, names to select from on web tool?

Is it possible to have a list of Bible books to select from, with possibly chapters selectable also, to click on?

From what I see, the existing web tool requires the user to know exactly that verses they are looking for. But a person unfamiliar with the Bible may not know one gospel from another, or what the book names are.

Hi,

I know that Sword has a built-in protocol that will allow you to add links on a web site and any visitors that are running Sword can click on these Sword protocol links and have their Sword-based Bible program open up to the reference cited in the link. I have zero clue about how this is done. I have been on a site that had it, but it is now down, otherwise I'd play detective and figure ...

Sword web, Java-based?

I'm pondering the possibility of being able to install Sword web on a completely Java platform. To be simple I'm looking for an install similar to Portable Bible Desktop, where Java is in the same folder, with a PATH in the app pointing to it.

Would that work? Has it been tried? The install HowTo says the tools are reputed to be cross-platform. Does that mean Cygwin, or could you ...

Possible to export a sword bible to xml, csv or sql?

Hi all.
I would like to implement a web application to read bible.

So, is there any way I can decompress/export a sword bible into SQL, CSV or XML?

Any of these formats would be ok for me to make the model analysis and create a web application.

And my web application will be open source. :)
made with ruby on rails

Thanks for any help
