Windows EXE Bible Text Conversion

Is it possible to take a Windows EXE version of a Bible Text and convert it to be able to import it into the Linux version of GNOME Sword?

I have purchased an NASB translation for Sword, but they only have a Windows version of the text. I have tried to execute the file (nasb.exe) through Wine on Linux, but it hangs on a dialog that says Setting up wizard...

Any suggestions would be helpful....

Some problems in my book in OSIS format

Hello everybody. I need some help about the OSIS syntax.

I've made a book, not a bible, a "genBook". I've used XML (OSIS) Format and xml2gbs to compile. But there are some problems.

I've got some problems :
- My text appears in italic instead of being in bold letters. I've used :
<p>In this paragraph, this word : <hi type="bold&quot...

lack of free german bible translation

Hello to all,

Is anyone interested in a new german translation of the bible?

In my opinion there is a lack of a free german translation "on the market". There are however very excellent german translations around (GerRLut, GerRElb ...), but none of which could be used in a free project like sword, because of licensing/copyright.
The ones which are available are quite outdated and...

Luther 1984 and MacSword?

When I switched to OS X I found that my Windows-Bible-Programs didn't work even with wine.
And the few Mac-Bible-Programs like Accordance are not to cheap.
Then I found MacSword!
Which made me happy.
Unforunately there's no Luther 1984 text.
From a long time ago I still have this text as an ASCII-file on my HD.
I wonder if it is possible to make a module out of it - and how to do it.
Any hi...

Some issues with the Ukrainian Bible module

A little while ago I posted my revisions to the Ukrainian Bible source file on the Go Bible forum. www.box.net/shared/94eqh8kb8r (use rev.1 which is latest) There were mispellings, missing letters (especially at the beginning of verses), and most significantly the phrase "немов сонце, а ноги його" was missing in Rev. 10:1. I have mostly focused on NT, so I may look closer at OT later....

OSIS questions

Is there a way in OSIS (and Sword implementation) to tag word stress within the canonical text of the Bible?

I cannot stress enough (pan intended) how important the word stress is. This is true at least in Russian and Ukrainian Bibles where translations are dated and word stress can fall almost on any vowel in any position. Sometimes the stress distinguishes word meaning; other times unfamil...

The Scriptures module for Linux

Hello,

I have tried to use the Windows version which is right on the isr-messianic.org website. I used wine to install the module and then I tried to copy it over to the .sword local directory. It worked except I have italics, footnotes, superscript, that does not work. It shows up in strange brackets. Is there a setting in the ts1998.conf file that I could alter to get this to work? Or...

Can vs2osisref.exe be localized to recognize, for example, verse references in Polish and translate them to their correct OSIS equivalents?

Is there an equivalent of vs2osisref.exe on Linux?

Best Regards
